Jersey City (NJ) is withdrawing a whopping $265 million from Citizens Bank because of its support of ICE prisons. “Jersey City should not be in any way supporting organizations or institutions financing the incarceration and illegal profit-making machine threatening our neighbors and immigrant communities here in Jersey City,” said Councilman Rolando Lavarro, as reported in the Jersey City Times. “It’s against everything we stand for.”
